Silat Buka Lingkaran
This Silat system is a beautiful, dynamic, and effective martial art that has its roots in Nusantara (ancient Indonesia) and in modern Indonesia.
The SBL syllabus follows a holistic martial arts approach and covers all aspects of self-defense. These include work on the ground and in a upright position, as well as typical Indonesian weapons such as knives, the karambit, and flexible weapons like the salendang or sarong.
The technical focus lies on dynamic striking techniques using all extremities from all angles and distances. However, takedowns and throws are also employed.
We are delighted to once again welcome Alvin Guinanao, founder of the SBL style and Chief Instructor, following the fantastic seminars we have held in the past.
We are now welcoming Alvin to Karlsruhe for the ninth time. It is always a great pleasure for us to benefit from his knowledge and skill.
In this seminar, we will explore and deepen a wide range of SBL concepts and practices.
